Introduction
The Research Centre for Financial Economics and Accounting (CREFC) is an institution devoted to research, education and consultancy in the fields of finance and accounting. The experience gained during the fourteen years for which the centre has been in operation has transformed it into a benchmark in the spheres of banking, financial markets and accounting.
The CREFC is closely attached to the UPF Department of Economics and has a successful team of researchers that has earned several awards for its endeavours. In addition, many of its members combine research with contributions made to other official organisations such as the World Bank and the European Central Bank, which have enriched the CREFC by enabling comparison of research work and providing genuine cases for the purposes of education.
Thanks to this feedback between experience and education, the CREFC continually makes efficient use of the information compiled through its research and consultancy projects and makes those projects available in the academic world through the various master degrees taught, the centre’s publications and the organisation of non-state-regulated activities such as conferences and congresses.
Accordingly, this website aims to offer web browsers a summary of the activities organised by the CREFC and the information it has compiled over the course of more than a decade. Happy surfing!
